Today I long for SILENCE–a respite from the noise of the world.
But I can’t stop writing. I can’t stop recognizing the JOY of being human.
Interesting in a week when joy seems to be lost somehow. Yet I know in the depth of me, that “All shall be well. All shall be well. All manner of thing shall be well.” (Julian of Norwich)
I also know that we may go through hell to get there.
But God’s ways are not our ways. And the un-knowing of God’s ways gives me great comfort.
It tells me that though there be hellish, inhumane violence in the world, that LOVE is still in charge.
Allowing us to act like fools–treating each other as if we were not the other also.
The Heavens wince.
Yes! Joy is there even in the people whom you would least expect. Just this week I heard about the people living in the dumps of Haiti having such a joyful spirit. All will be well.
Thank you for this much needed reminder amid the sorrow.
All will be well. Those words have the ability to prop me up again and again. Because of technology we are instantly involved with all that happens on the planet. I am starting to view this as growing pains.
“…starting to view this as growing pains” is a perfect way to say it, Amy. We are in a transition period from violence to peace. We have each chosen to be here during this time of violence for a reason, a purpose. As each of us can accept what is happening, it will allow the Light to shine on how we are called to participate.
Right now I am listening, writing, praying, and finding time for silence.
